The Belli Butcher has been associated for years with the Consortium for the Protection of the Cinta Senese, which is responsible for promoting and enhancing the meat of this important pig that was in danger of disappearing forever from our tables. Moreover, for a few months, the same Consortium has been trying to protect these fine cured meats at national level, with the request for DOP-suino cinto .
The story of Butcher Belli begins in a small farm in the countryside, surrounded by cypresses and very close to the town of Pienza.
In this farm lived as usual in y, a large extended family dedicated to peasant activities. At the end of the 1960s, a boy, Afiero, left this farm; in search of better luck he came to a small town (actually very close to his native farm) Torrita di Siena, then the center of the fashionable and commercial life of the area, with well established businesses and a rich and prosperous population.
In this country he took over a small butcher's shop and since then all that followed is the story of a life dedicated to work and looking for the best, where the best is good. The experiences lived inside the Pienza farm, in fact, help him to recreate the ancient flavors of the peasant tradition, to offer his customers the best in terms of authenticity and taste.
The small butcher's shop expanded to become a small sausage factory where these old family recipes were relived and the workforce increased with it; however, the real turning point was reached after the entry into the business of Alfiero's sons, Roberta and Marco.
The culmination of a dream: the opening of a large butcher's shop with an adjoining charcuterie and ham factory just outside the fourteenth-century walls of Torrita. All this took place in 2002 and since then the business has only grown, thanks to the passion of a life spent chasing the joys of the palate.

This certification will be obtained only for meat obtained from purebred animals reared in y and will add a further guarantee of quality for consumers.
For some years the Belli Butcher has been associated with a Consortium whose main purpose is the protection of the IGP-vitellone bianco dell'appennino central brand which includes cattle aged between 12 and 14 months of three of the five breeds protected by the 5R brand: Chianina, Maremmana and Romagnola.
The same is concerned with promoting and enhancing the product through information activities on the brand and on the characteristics, merits and general attention to interests relating to the production of meat.
