The sweet horses are typical biscuits of the Tuscan tradition. A simple recipe based on soft wheat flour type “0” walnuts candied fruit orange peel, lemon juice, cedar, in variable proportions.
Their history dates back to the sixteenth century of Lorenzo the Magnificent, although at the time they were called “biriquocoli”. There are those who love them particularly crunchy who, on the other hand, prefer them soft. These all agree.

Ingredients: Type “0” black wheat flour, nuts (22%), candied fruit (22%) (orange zest, lemon zest, cedar, in variable proportions, fructose glucose syrup, sugar, acidity regulator: juice of concentrated lemon), sugar, invert sugar syrup, spices, baking agents ammonium bicarbonate.
